| Jeanne's birthday is this week, but since we were all together last week Val ordered a cake and we surprised her with a little birthday party. Derek managed to sneak the cake in and hide it in the bathtub until after dinner! The boys whispered about the "party" the entire time so I'm not sure how much of a secret it really was. |

| Our next stop was the cabin! My grandpa built the cabin for our family before he died so it's probably my favorite place on earth. (If you look close at the picture you will see that the little guy in the background is Boston.) |

| Some of us stayed in the cabin, but others set up tents. The last 2 years we've had a camper, but this year Bran and I slept in the main bedroom. You can also see the side of the pavilion in this picture. The tree line behind the tents is actually the river. |
