Monster Trucks

When you the mom of three boys, Monster Trucks are just part of the job. And when your a really good mom...you buy a "pit pass" for everyone so you can get up close and personal with trucks.

Part of the fun is each picking "our" truck. I usually get the crappy truck because I'm too busy taking picture to pick fast.

As always, Boston picked Big Foot. The guy who drove last night was the guy who actually created the first "Monster Truck" 35 years ago & set the World Record for the longest jump in a Monster Truck.

Bran's Wrecking Crew had a new driver...he really was a "wrecking crew" when he tried to back into his spot and hit the Avenger. This is Spike my "special" truck...let's see...it lost every competition and started on fire 2...yes I said it...2 times!

There was a guy there who did stunts. His first was to drive his convertible 35 miles an hour into a car standing on end. If everything goes right, the card flips over the top of the convertible. Everything went right...thank God...you can see the red car right on top of the other car in this pic.

In the last stunt he ramped his crappy little car off the ramp and landed on the other side of the dirt mound. He did the trick 3 times. By the end, that poor little car was almost bent in half and smoking. The tires were all flat to. The craziest part was the way the car kept dropping parts as he drove it.

There is nothing in the world I would rather do than spend time with my boys...even if it means going deaf watching Monster Trucks!
