Kirk took us for our first "real" Chinese meal. The table has a turntable and everything is served family style. That makes it possible for you to try lots of different things in one meal.
First we had pork stock soup with 3 kinds of mushrooms AND pork bones. The mushrooms were amazing...the bones not so much.
Dumplings...the best I've ever had!
Roasted Chicken...with the head
Christa decided to try the head.
A pictures worth a thousand words!
Bamboo...one of my favorites
Pork with peppers, onions and pineapple. It may look familiar, but as soon as you took a bite and bit into bone you realized this was not your typical US Chinese food.
Spicy green beans with sausage
Braised Tofu
Shrimp fried rice
Corn with pine nuts, kidney beans and peas...I have no idea why!
I can't remember the name...but it tasted like asparagus in oyster sauce.
We drank A LOT of dirty water. They call it tea...but it's not!
The last day in Longyen FH treated up to a very special thank you lunch.
This meal started with the best rice noodles I have EVER HAD!
Spicy Cabbage with bacon...My favorite from this meal
Beef with veggies
Chicken...this one had the feet too!
Potatoes in vinager...soooo goood!
Eggs and tomatoes...not my favorite
Spicy Green beans with sausage
Celery and cashews
They really don't eat dessert, but fruit is usually served at the end of the meal.
Palm...something or other with oyster sauce
The food at the restaurants was good...This meal was AWESOME!
