Birthday Party Concert

Tonight was Riley's 9th Birthday "Concert" Party. 72 of our sweetest friends and family joined us for dinner (creamy tacos), music, hot chocolate and birthday cupcakes.

You will notice I had a really hard time getting any real good pics. I had my 200mm lens on and didn't think to bring my regular lens. Needless to say, I had to stand like 50 feet away to get a decent shot.
.
Nat came up with a new game...pool pong!
After dinner we all moved to the concert area. While the kiddos were in the room Bran and the band did songs for them...I've got a feeling...Living on a Prayer...Pants on the ground...
Little Will and mom
I tried to get a couple good shots of our friends...stupid lens!
Uncle Derek...bass
Our awesome friend Andy...drums
Alyce the Great on keys...
Cousin Jacob on electric guitar.
Nat did a little dancing to stay alert, Em just wanted to go UP the stairs and DOWN the stairs...and UP the stairs and so on and so forth...
We had old friends who came in from Siloam...
the boys helped with the motions to $5 foot long
Another part of the night was suppose to be a surprise for Bran. Myself, Josh and my mom have been working for months planning an early birthday surprise for him. My plan had been to surprise him with it tonight. Well, due to some crazy circumstances...Bran found out a few weeks ago, but only admitted it to me 2 nights ago. I decided to show the video anyway!
Here's how it will go...Bran and Josh...
Will go to Arlington on Dec. 11th and 12th to stay at the Gaylord Texan...
inside...
If they can tear themselves away from their amazing hotel, they will see the Jazz and Mavericks on Saturday night...
Then on Sunday they will get to watch the Eagles take on the Cowboys in the new Cowboys Stadium! (there was a picture, but it disappeared and I can't put it back) Needless to say Bran is beside himself with glee...it's funny to see how child like grown men can act sometimes!
.
Ok, back to Riley...after a quick Happy Birthday to You, it was off to gifts for the kiddos.

Riley's gift from mom and dad was the WWE Pay-per-view event on Sunday night. As you can see by this pic...he was thrilled
Jeanne's sister and brother-in-law flew in from Boston this afternoon to stay for a few days. As you can see, Jeanne and Jeannine look nothing alike! LOL The boys got to meet their Great Aunt and Uncle for the first time today. (sorry, not true...we flew up to RI when Boston was 2, so he's met them once)
Jeannine and Rick
It was a wonderful night with family and friends. Tomorrow is Ri's "real" birthday, so it's off to the movies and whatever else he wants to do on his special day!
.
Thanks so so much to our dear friends who came to play and to all of our precious friends and family for sharing tonight with us! It was a wonderful night from Ri and Bran both.
